Not sure why this does not have a 100% rating. One of Bathory's finest moments along with 1988s Blood Fire Death. Classic album!

If this album wasn't created there couldn't be second wave black metal. This deserves top three at least.

This album layed the groundwork for what would become the 2nd wave of
Black metal that the Norwegians developed in the beginning of the 90's

Some might say that Venoms album black metal (1982) was the first,
But the vocals and guitars demonstrated on Bathorys Under the Sign...
Clearly prove otherwise.

Without Venom there wouldn't be even no Bathory, Quorthon took lyrics, stole riffs, songtitles and even Photoshoot clothes. So yea still a great inspiration but Venom got the most credit.
