Not as great as Cruelty and the Beast, in my opinion, but still a beautiful piece of Black Metal for the 90's! They strove for originality in those times and have created a sound completely their own. Long live Cradle of Filth!

This is one of my favourite albums of all time, no question about that, but I just don't see it as black metal. It's a gothic metal album with a bit of speed here and there. It doesn't have any of the black metal atmosphere or philosophy, but it has a perfect atmosphere that is all its own: a historic and romantic masterpiece.

I listened to the album. Good work.
