1 Review for 'Cult of Fire - Moksha''Moksha'
Metal head yogA uck yeah!
Moksha is the fourth full length from Prague's Cult Of Fire. Released in 2020 the album flew under the radar thanks to Covid and the ensuing world wide shit show that followed. But thankfully Cult Of Fire had a well deserved reputation in black metal circles. True craftsman of the genre each of their albums maintain a high quality without being boring or repetitive. Don't let the funky cover art fool you, Moksha is killer from start to finish.
As with previous albums Cult Of Fire explore religious themes of Hindu. The first track has a short atmospheric opening which ends with a Namaste. That gives way to savage and melodic song structures that don't let up. Side two especially bangs hard. Moksha is well played, put together, and produced. These guys are also great live!
I've often heard pretentious jack asses spouting cliche's about the spiritual journey that center's and grounds them is practicing yoga. To them I say put Cult Of Fire on the turntable and prepare yourself for a real awakening. No mat required and no bull shit allowed. Hails!
