here is a release I put out earlier this week entitled THE DESCENT by my project CARDINAL
it takes inspiration from dungeon synth but isn't medieval and acoustic sounding by any means. you might also find that it has a great atmospheric element, and definitely a bit of a DSBM touch to it.
I utilized a lot of instruments that are typically common place in trance/techno styles but I formatted them to fit more within black metal. while I do love acoustic drum blast beats and hi gain raw guitars, I find that there is some real beauty to synthesizers and can convey an equally vast atmosphere when done right.
