Modern Black Metal Classics
As the years go by, I'm thinking the Classic Black Metal Albums section is probably now missing a few albums worthy of the title.
They don't necessarily have to be albums from the 80s and 90s, as enough time has passed and enough evolution has happened for releases from around 2000-2010 (or perhaps even stretching to around 2015) to be considered classics also. Albums that have not simply come and gone, but have withstood the test of time and become perennial favourites across the Black Metal community as a whole.

Our new album is available on YouTube at https://youtu.be/SK_YnrKcgw8
It's our fourth album and it's the best one yet. More variation, furious blast beats, black metal epics and atmospheric parts blended in a way that will keep your attention throughout the whole album. Enjoy!
Black metal + war history= perfect matches. It have, for me, completely become a new subgenre who start with band like Marduk but now we have plenty of pearl of this genre like Wolfkrieg and Kanonenfieber and a lot of other great band of this kind.
And now I know that your are saying that Wolfkrieg is pagan and Marduk is classic black metal, and you are right, but all war black metal band are returning to one emotion, one sound, and that's why they are all related and are part of the same subgenre in my opinion. I also think that war black metal and bestial black metal is not the same. Fo ... [»]
15 Underrated Black Metal Bands
I'd been meaning to put together a short list of a few bands that I considered were underrated in one way or another for some time. Thanks to the Internet, many of these bands are already known, even prominent in Black Metal circles, but taking into consideration their consistent output of great material over the years, I still think they don't get the credit or recognition that they genuinely deserve, so here they are, in no particular order:
Acherontas
Black Metal from Athens, Greece - Formed in 2007, Acherontas have been putting out album after album of high quality music, with ... [»]
The weirdest band history you heard
A lot of band in music in general have really weird history, and even if we always hear about their story, Mayhem are far to be the most weird in my opinion. I know a lot of insane story but one that mark me for life is the story of the Italo-Slovenian gothic rock band Devil Doll. It's not necessarily the most extreme story, but it's really creepy. Of course, I don't have all the truth because I was not there when it happen but I think talking about what I know and maybe learn something about it by other people could be nice.
The band is formed in 1987 by Mister Doctor, i guy that no one ... [»]

RIP Joey Jordison
Nice little video put together by the band in remembrance of the great Joey Jordison who passed away on 26th July.
Slipknot were my #1 band at one point, my first introduction to really heavy music, and I think there's an element of truth in what Joey said regarding Iowa being the "heaviest album ever made". While there are of course things like Marduk's "World Funeral", any Teitanblood album, or a thousand other examples in Black/Death Metal, I think if you were growing up in the early 00s and listened to Iowa, there was really nothing else like it, and there probably still isn't anything ...
