The Black Metal of the Alps

This album exudes Nordic roots, fog, pine trees and lands surrounded by mountains.

Musically a fantastic product with evident ability on the part of the musicians to blend and make unique a set of elements that brings back names such as Bathory, Taake, Ulver and Immortal above all.

The guitars are the strong and fundamental part of this record, a true backbone composed of intricate melodic lines. Always at the right point, never too excessive.
The drums support the rhythms and do not fail at any point. The bass is not very present and very linear as is usual in a genre like black metal.

The voice lacks a bit of personality but still manages to be raw to the point of recalling that of a wounded animal. However, the note of the singer in Italian makes the narration of the anti-man, anti-life lyrics even more intrinsically fascinating.

A record that in its simplicity gets straight to the point, with that added value of always finding the right melody to create great evocation and emotions of icy invoices.
