The thrash legends revealed the EP's cover art, tracklist and format details through their facebook page, together with some info regarding their upcoming tour dates.
Teutonic thrash pioneers Sodom have revealed some details for their upcoming EP, which will be titled "Bombenhagel" (trans. "Hail of Bombs"), and is scheduled to be released on the 20th of August through SPV/Steamhammer.
The new EP will feature three new tracks, clocking in at just over 14 minutes in total:
- Bombenhagel
- Coup de Grace
- Pestiferous Posse
And here's a closer look at the eye-catching cover art:
The band elaborated briefly on how the Covid situation interfered with their plans:
Originally we had planned to release the record in time for this year’s summer festival season, including a sticker with all confirmed tour dates. Of course, due to the current situation, all festivals will be postponed until 2022. The EP will be released anyway, as a sign of life. As a signal to our fans: We’re still around! The story continues...
"Bombenhagel" will be made available in the following formats:
- Digital
- CD DigiPak
- 12" LP, 140 g, red vinyl, printed inner sleeve
- 12" LP exclusive coloured editions (only at the Napalm shop)
- Exclusive CD/LP Bundle with a T-shirt (only at the Steamhammer shop)
In the post they also included some upcoming tour dates, most of which still fall within 2021, along with some "confirmed" festival appearances for next summer:
