The new album will be titled "Wolf Hex", and is scheduled to be released on the 27th of August.
Canadian Black Metal Punks Wormwitch have just revealed the details for their upcoming full-length via their Facebook page. The new album, which will be titled "Wolf Hex", is planned for release on the 27th of August through American label Prosthetic Records. Together with the announcement, a music video for one of the new songs was uploaded to the label's YouTube channel earlier today:
The label added a bit of hype with the video upload to get fans moist:
Interlacing black metal and high-energy rock 'n' roll with gothic melodic and harmonic flourishes, Wolf Hex, the 3rd LP from Canada’s Wormwitch, is filled with monumental moments continuing the band’s upward trajectory in the global metal scene.
"Wolf Hex" will mark the band's third full-length, and features a total of 10 new tracks, including what seems to be a Metallica cover:
- Lunar Maniac
- Canadian Denim Mountain Attack
- The Wolves of Ossory
- Hammer of the Underworld
- The Crimson Proof
- Abracadabra
- Leering Crystal Effigies
- Grail
- Teeth of the Dawn
- Hit the Lights
Here's a closer look at the cover art, which was designed by the band's bass player, Robin Harris:
Pre-orders for "Wolf Hex" are already available in both CD and several different vinyl options via Nightshift Merch, along with a new t-shirt design to mark the occasion. More info here.
Alternatively, you can pre-order the digital version of the album directly through the Wormwitch bandcamp here.
