"Forrang for Fiender" is the second single to be made available from the upcoming album, which is titled "Woduridar" and due for release on the 29th of October.
Norwegian Black Metal vikings Helheim are due to release their next full-length album, titled "Woduridar", on the 29th of October through Bergen-based Dark Essence Records. While we wait, the band has made another single from the album available for listening, this time the album's second track, "Forrang for Fiender". Check it out:
The band commented on the lyrical themes of the latest single:
The lyrics for "Forrang for fiende" (Precedence for Enemy) are more sinister and are spat out in such a way that perfectly illustrates the feelings of misanthropy towards the human race. The musical approach is straight forward Helheim with a touch of rock n roll attitude. All garnished with grim verses and monumental choruses.
In case you missed it, a music video for the title track was also revealed last month together with the album's announcement:
The complete tracklist for the new album is as follows:
- Vilje av Stål
- Forrang for Fiender
- WoduridaR
- Åndsfilosofen
- Ni s Soli Sot
- Litil Vis Made
- Tankesmed
- Det Kommer I Bølger
- Hazzard
The artwork for "WoduridaR" was designed by Tom "H'grimnir" Korsvold, Helheim's own singer and guitarist. You may have already encountered his design work through the likes of Taake, Orkan and Vulture Industries, to name but a few, in addition to the cover art for many of Helheim's previous releases:
Pre-orders for "WoduridaR" are already available in CD and limited LP vinyl, including a special t-shirt design and associated bundles. Check out the links below for more details:
