Owl cave debut album streaming online in full, releasing cd & lp tomorrow

French Black Metal solo project Owl Cave is scheduled to release their debut full-length album in physical format tomorrow 17th of September through French label Time Tombs Production. The album, which consists of a singular monumental track, has already been available since June for streaming online in its entirety via the band's Bandcamp page:

Despite featuring just one track, the album consists of six separate chapters. The label comments on the thought process behind this decision:

Despite the sounds and textures diversity, it stays focus. Rather, from this emerges a feeling of mast and unity, a common thread in one way or another which relates all the sound explorations to S., the instigator of the project, has done.

This common thread is felt in the form that this piece takes, since the choice was made by the artist to gather the 6 songs into a single track, thus requiring the listener to listen to the entire album, and in the order the composer wanted. An approach running counter to the main current mode of consumption of music.

Inner journey in 6 steps, this album wasn’t initially conceived as such. Composing was for S. a cathartic process that allowed him to express himself at a time when language failed him. Today it is up to everyone to let themselves be absorbed in it and to try to feel the different levels of intensity added to each song.
