Rare Black Metal archive at Neseblod Records in Oslo, originally known as the famous "Helvete" shop owned by Euronymous, was mostly lost in the blaze.
Neseblod Records, originally 'Helvete' in Oslo, Norway, was damaged by fire. The blaze apparently started in the record store’s basement. The late Euronymous (Mayhem) used to own it back in the day. The current owner turned it into a black metal archive, a museum of sorts, and keeping the historical black metal graffiti on the wall that became a famous backdrop for many band and fan photos. A go fund me page has been created to help the owner try and restore what he can.

We took a moment to talk a bit with Chrysthian about one-man bands in Black Metal and his YouTube channel dedicated to the phenomenon.
Some of the biggest names in Black Metal are the result of one man's vision. Whether it was the case of Quorthon's Bathory, starting life as a full band and gradually becoming a solo project over time, or Varg's Burzum, being an entirely self-contained musical entity from the project's inception, "One-Man Bands" form an inherent, integral, and often times fascinating part of Black Metal, and can trace their roots back almost as far as the beginning of the scene itself.
With the technological advances in music recording and production that have taken place over the last decade, it is now ...
This music video is for the opening track on their debut full-length, and is titled "The Great Hunter".
Reincarnated Greek veterans Yoth Iria, have premiered a brand new music video for a song from their debut album that was released earlier this year. The song is titled "The Great Hunter", and was the opening track for their debut full-length, "As the Flame Withers". Here's the video in question:
Yoth Iria was formed recently by two of the important names in the early Hellenic Black Metal scene of the 90s. After releasing an EP in 2020, they finally released their highly anticipated debut full-length in January of this year through Pagan Records. The album is one of the most highly praised ...

Six years later, here are the unsurprising results for the poll, "Which is your favourite Black Metal scene?".
Almost six years ago I published a poll to see which country's Black Metal scene you liked the most.
To be fair, the poll outstayed its welcome, and its premise was flawed to begin with. What was the point of asking users to choose a single country? Why would it matter? And why include some countries but not others? The truth is that not a lot of thought went into it, but at the time it seemed like a good follow-up to the previous poll (favourite genre).
I took the poll down some months ago, but for those wondering what the outcome was, here are the predictable and purposeless ...
