A difficult memory to forget in dark times... And that are medieval

Satyricon a legendary band... I didn't have the fortune to see him live... I don't like all that.
What to say about his debut... An album that generates a nostalgia in me that transports me to medieval times, a cold and dark atmosphere from the first iconic piece (Walk the Path of Sorrow) that gives me goosebumps. ..and those voices, instrumentation and gloomy environment, acoustic guitars, could be perfect, it doesn't bore me at all.

Satry and Frost really released a masterpiece at a young age that if I'm not mistaken is 18 and 20 years old, there were also two more members whose names I don't remember, but in that year several iconic albums like the one of Burzum, their EP and their second album, other bands that released albums that year, Dissection, Impaled Nazarene, Sigh, Darkthrone, Beherit and Immortal... You already know the albums I mean... And here comes Satyricon with Dark Medieval Time, which made them notice a big difference between all the aforementioned bands, has a well-deserved merit for being a Black Metal classic.

Technical riffs that are combined with the cold atmosphere, all the tracks are very special, none of them is too much, An Album that does not bore listening from start to finish... Ends with a (Taakeslottet) is totally epic... An album very characteristic of the year 1993.

All this is from my personal point of view, it may seem that I chose it more than the rest, IT IS A PERSONAL OPINION. I hope this little review is of some use, and that you give this wonderful album a listen... if you are someone who doesn't know it although I doubt it, anyway LISTEN TO IT AGAIN.
Thank you....

Straight from the golden age of Norwegian Black Metal... a far cry from today's Satyricon.

Absolutely I agree to that, they became worse on every release and this release is a total cult and representant for what Satyricon truly should be!

My personal favourite and I like it more than Nemesis Divina.

I had this playing on my stereo when my normal non-metal friend walked in
And he said "wow! That's cool, what's that?"

That's the power of this kinda art, it's just plain amazing and
I feel bad for those who will go through life never knowing this
Kinda shit exists.
