The conquest of the throne of shadows

Another masterpiece? It will be? That's what I wonder...
I began to think too much about which would be better between Dark Medieval Times or The Shadowthrone, after thinking about it too much I prefer Dark Medieval Times but, but, but... The Shadowthrone has something special, I love the beginning (Hvite Krists Død ) very heavy and epic at the same time, but I also have a small problem with the album, only two songs seemed overwhelming to me, I want to believe that it is because I still have a long way to go to understand those songs better, I am not saying that it is bad for nothing, other people will prefer The Shadowthrone to Dark Medieval Times, Varied tastes, everyone has their own point of view, and that is respected.

1994 a year of pure classic Black Metal really pure classic and everyone will know which bands with their albums released that year I mean, that's where The Shadowthrone came in.

I have to clarify that most of the songs want to be much better than their previous album... They did it in a certain way, what am I going to do... They are faster and with brutal riffs... Frost is breaking it on drums and Satry on vocals and guitars with guest star Samoth from Emperor... Wow, wow, that's great, really great.

(In The Mist By The Hills) one of the fastest pieces, and (Dominions Of Satyricon) another very epic piece at the beginning and fast afterwards... I say that it overwhelms me? I'd better change my mind... Its ending is a medieval instrumental, and that's how I came to interpret it... The conquest of the Throne of Shadows gives a symphony of glory...
They are great albums, listen to them anyway, let's see which one you prefer more than Dark Medieval Times or The Shadowthrone, you choose, all this is my humble opinion.
Thank you...

Unrepeatable ocurrence in the timeless frost that is black metal

Total cult and nowadays even a bit forgotten because of the worshipping of the new releases of the band..

'The Shadowthrone' is easily my favourite release by these (relative) late-comers to the Norwegian fold. While the debut and 'Nemesis Divina' are absolute classics in their own right, I feel that this is criminally overlooked in comparison to the aforementioned releases: it's decidedly unorthodox in its composition, what with it's long, unwieldy, off-kilter riffs. It's also one of the first black metal albums to incorporate authentic Nordic folk melodies, and is all the better for it.

One of the greatest Black Metal albums of its time, and without a doubt Satyricon's magnum opus along with "Nemesis Divina". I'll never forget these amazing days...when masterpieces were being released one after the other.

This is my favourite black metal of all time and what I consider to be the perfect black metal album. Artistic structures, swinging rhythms, tasteful keyboards and an atmosphere that conjures up the Norwegian forests, this to me is perfection. 100%.

A mid paced, black metal album with a unique dark folklore atmosphere and epic, brooding riffs overlaid with excellent vocals. A true masterpiece.

If you are ever driving up north at night through the woods this album should
Be played on your car stereo and a feeling will be captured within you that
Can only truly be understood as "transcendent".

This is no sophomore slump, I can tell you that.
This is True Norwegian Black Metal Art for Dark Souls!

I have nothing else to say, this is a very beloved album and I can understand why
