Without any doubts, one of the most captivating albums ever made in North America.

I love this album. When I listened to this and Two Hunters first I thought TH was the better of the two, but after many listens by now the melancholic and downright majestic tone of this work prevails. Masterpiece.

I respect the opinions of the staff at Best Black Metal Albums tremendously, but this release simply does not click with me. I think that the 'Hvis Lyset Tar Oss' comparison is spot on, but rather than reinterpret that work, I feel that 'Diadem of Twelve Stars' simply uses its formula and waters it down. The roughest edges of the best ambient black metal are absolutely smoothed over here, as the site review suggests, and this is not a good thing to me: the result sounds forced and insincere.

It's an alright album, but almost hard to classify them as actual black metal. doesn't hit me with that almost physical feeling of good, proper black metal... it's nice if you like bm AND trance I suppose; synths are real

One of the most beautiful black metal albums ever
