I took a shot and it paid off!

Every Friday the new releases at Hells Headbangers come out. I look forward to it all week in hopes I can score something new for my collection. Not long ago I was scrolling through the vinyl section and the very last entry was this album by Zaklon. I'd never heard of this band before but something made me stop and check it out. I can't explain it. Just a feeling I had but over the years I've learned to trust my instincts. I looked up the band but could find very little about them. An atmospheric black metal band from Belarus with six albums to their name. Ok fine I'll take a shot and I'm glad I did. Not only did it introduce me to a stellar band but a stellar album as well.
Viatry Karacunavaj Nocy(The Winds of the Dark Night) is standard black metal fare delivered with skill and zeal by a band that I feel should be more well known. Each song starts slowly with a lone piano or flute and then delves deep into layered guitars, blast beats, and demonic vocals. Each complimenting the other well due to excellent production. Even the bass comes through. My only complaint is that the line notes and album's cover is in Belarusian so I couldn't read the lyrics. The song titles according to google translate are 1. The Storm of the Horses of Time 2.Karacun 3. The Blood of the Wolf of Night 4. The Winds of Sorrow 5. Black Flame of Hatred 6. Far Away(Wind Over the Curve of Hollows). Like I said standard fare but done extremely well. If you have an opportunity to hear this band take it. You metal maniacs shall be rewarded!
